| Flexible Scheduling |

When Lejos Learning's set out to build a language program, they started with the idea:
"The student needs to be in CONTROL. Flexible Scheduling is important."
The goal is for the student to learn Spanish with the least amount of obstacles. The program needs to be both easy and effective! Because of this, Lejos Learning's academic team made up of e-learning experts in the area of language instruction, built a program focused on giving you the flexibilty to learn what it is most convenient for you, without sacrificing effectiveness like you would have to in a single dimension program. The academic development team built a two part program to ensure the student maintains true control over their time.
Individual LessonsRemember, the goal is to maximize effectiveness while allowing you to maintain control over your time. The individual lessons are designed to allow you to be introduced to a concept, allow you to study it, and then practice it all on your own. This means that if your day just got away from you, and you weren't able to take an hour and study Spanish, in the morning or over your lunch time, you can come home, relax for a while, and then hop on your computer and take hour of quiet time before you go to bed and work on your lessons. Yes, you have to be disciplined, but the great news is you can do it on your time! Live Spanish Classes with a tutorThere are a number of software programs that allow you to study completely on your own, but you lose out on the opportunity to study with a Private Spanish Tutor. How many times have you met someone that says they can speak your language, because they tested well on paper, but when you actually talk to them, it is hard to understand? Lejos Learning believes that learning to speak Spanish means you can communicate with the people around you. To do this, you really need that live interaction. This will improve your effectiveness in learning Spanish. So after you have had the chance to spend 4-5 hours studying the individual self study lessons, you will be guided to schedule a class, using our easy to use calendar. Our internal development team has worked really hard to create an easy to use way to schedule your classes. Below you will find a picture of the calendar that was taken at 11:43am on May 8, 2008. After the picture, we will describe some of the features.
As you can see, there are some times that say "not available." This is because these class times have passed. It wouldn't make sense for you to be able schedule your next class for yesterday. Since 12:00pm is available, and I have at least 1 credit, I am going to reserve the hour. All I need to do is click the hour. A window will pop-up to confirm that this is the hour I wanted. I will say ok, and voila, the class is mine. Look at the below image, the 12:00pm timeslot has changed color, and it says it is "Your Class." 5 minutes before your class, you will be able to enter the waiting room.
As you can see, it is just that simple! We have truly put you in control of your learning Spanish! Are you ready, to try out our Free Placement Course? If you are, then fill out the form and start on your way. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask one of our live support professionals at the top of the page. If no one is available, you will be given an option to send an e-mail to our admissions department. We will get back to you as quickly as possible. If you are not ready yet, you may want to check out the article on our Conversation Spanish Program. |
