Conversational Spanish program

This program is designed for those who need to learn Spanish as a second language in an easy, entertaining and active manner.  The emphasis is based on the 4 language skills (reading comprehension, written expression, oral communication, and listing comprehension).  The assignments are varied and specific for each langauge skill.  The activities allow the student to develop all four of the different language skills in an integrated manner.

How to get started?

To start, Fill out the registration form so you can take a FREE placement test (including an oral part and a written part).  This placement test has two goals:

  1. It helps us place you in the correct level based on your actual strengths and weaknesses.
  2. It helps you see what our lessons are like before you have to make a commitment.

Complete Program Details:

General Objectives:

1)  The acquisition of Spanish as a second language via diverse, dynamic, and daily activities.

2)  Progressively develop in an integral fashion, the 4 language skills to increase the capacity to communicate in Spanish.

Español 1

This course is designed for students that possess little or no basic knowledge.  They are not able to start a spontaneous conversation, and have dificulty following a conversation.

  1. Learn basic vocabulary related to common subjects by seeing and using them in context (verbs, subjects, and adjectives).
  2. Understand simple conversations and short texts (reading and listening).
  3. Express ideas, emotions, and basic feelings (oral and writing).

 Español 2

This course is designed for students that possess the capacity to start simple and spontaneous conversations, but have limitations with vocabulary, gramatical structure, and pronunciation.  Students can understand isolated and general details of a conversation.

  1. Learn general vocabulary related to common subjects in diverse environments (verbs, subjects, and adjectives).
  2. Understand, in large part, the conversations and texts related to common themes (reading and listening).
  3. Express ideas, emotions, knowledge, experiences, and feelings in divers situations of daily life (oral and written).

Español 3

This is designed for students that can communicate in Spanish in any environment and talk about a large variety of subjects making use of the personal and professional experiences they posess.  They can comprehend the majority of information they hear and can write complete texts in a manner that makes complete sense.

  1. Learn specific vocabulary related to common situations in diverse environments (verbs, subjects, and adjectives).
  2. Understand almost all of the conversations and texts both common and not so common within their contexts (reading and listening).
  3. Explain and justify ideas, emotions, knowledge, experiences and feelings in situations of daily life (oral and written).
